Rosie, born Christmas morning 2019, is a delightful Welsh displaying the typical characteristics of an affectionate little bitch and an independent ‘tomboy’.
She loves water and her bird drive comes to the fore when in cover.

NZCH Llanfair Gwynne is rising three years of age and is groiwng into the realm of the Alpha bitch at Llanfair after the passing of Madigan and Astra at 14 and 11 years respectively.
Gwynne is a blossoming young bitch with good conformation and kind attitude. She has been made up to NZ Show Champion status.
“Squirt McFirt” has grown from a feisty wee pup to find her rightful place in a home of 5 Welshies.
We have imported semen from Slyvkin Kennels, Australia and are delighted that Gwynne has recently been artificially inseminated using the sire Aust CH Slyvkin Horus. 10 Puppies have whelped on th evening of Christmas day / Boxing day 2019. Gwynne is being a devoted Welshie Dam and diligently caring after these little mouths..

NZCH Llanfair Astra is a lovely young dam with good conformation and attitude. She has been made up to NZ Show Champion status.
Astra has a gentle temperment and is a ‘little princess’ at home when she wants a cuddle but out in the field she is extremely alert to game and is a ‘tomboy’ to equal her brothers.
We are delighted that Astra has recently had her first litter producing 7 lovely pups and has proved to be wonderful mum like her mother, Madigan. We used imported semen from Clumbrolds Kennels, Sweden; using the sire SUCH Clumbrolds Kilkenny.

Slyvkin Madigan was imported from Bill and Sylvia Crozier’s Kennels in 2005 and is the matriarch and founding bitch of Llanfair Kennels.
A placid nature combined wtih great hunting instincts has made her a valuable member both in the home and out in the field.
Madi has been made up to NZ show champion status and has done us proud with her first litter of 9 pups in 2008 (using Australian lines from Slyvkin and Laugharne Kennels); and her most recent litter of 7 pups in 2010 (using Swedish lines from Clumbrold Kennels). Llanfair Kennels have gone this route to import new lines into New Zealand; to ensure excellent health standards, type and temperament of the Welsh.
Now 6 and a half years of age, Madi is retired from breeding and being a ‘super mum’ so that she can now enjoy the Welshies natural game drive and further develop her training and skills in the field. She has however thoroughly enjoyed being a grandmum to Astra’s recent litter.
